Growing up near Tibet, Wang’s early experiences with weavers inspired the brand's handcrafted textiles. Combining organic materials with fair trade practices, Distant Echo connects modern consumers to ancient crafts, supporting artisans and promoting cultural heritage preservation.

The Modern Textured Pillow is a beautiful, handwoven piece crafted by female weavers from ethnic minority groups residing in the remote mountains of Thailand.

Available in chocolate and charcoal, each pillow reflects the cultural heritage and artisanal skills of these weavers, who use traditional techniques to create intricate designs.

Pillows are sold complete with a 100% Organic Cotton outer shell insert, certified by Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), with down and feather fill.

Despite pursuing a medical career, as per his family's wishes, Wang's heart remained with the craft traditions he admired as a boy. His journey took an unexpected turn as he balanced his medical profession with a growing involvement in the world of textiles, even collaborating with international bodies like the United Nations and serving as volunteer President for World Craft Council North America....
