This calming design draws inspiration from traditional Katazome stencil techniques, with uneven stripes that evoke the natural, relaxed feel of bamboo mats.

The rich navy and ecru tones add sophistication, while the heavy double yarn construction ensures durability and superior underfoot comfort, making it both functional and beautifully crafted.

Her fascination wasn't just with the fashion trends of the 1890s through the 1940s, but with the fabric itself – the textures, patterns and history embedded in each piece. It was this early interest in textiles that set the stage for her later career, though her path would take a few unexpected turns before she fully embraced it....
